Narendra Modi at India Today Conclave

On 16th march Mr. Narendra Modi  addressed, the India Today Conclave 2013. No doubt large number of dignitaries from across the nation heard Shri Modi’s speech. In his two hour long interaction Mr. Modi touched upon many issues including Defence, Railways, FDI etc.

Before Mr. Modi’s speech, a short film on Gujarat’s Model was showcased. The 15 minute long film included Gujarat Government’s development initiatives in agriculture, milk production, animal husbandry and highlighted that Gujarat grew at an impressive 9 per cent in the agriculture sector. Mr. Modi know it very well how to project his work and his words.  He laid emphasis in institutionalisation of Ideas. According to him leader-centric and personality-centric ideas may work for sometime but they can’t last.

The punchline of the speech “we don’t need more Acts we need Action” clearly filled the audience with enthusiasm. The strongest aspects of Mr. Modi’s speech were when he showcased a range of Innovative ideas from Solid Waste Management to Solar Energy. He made very good points as an alternative to achieve sustained development.

Narendra Modi also went where no major Indian Politician went in recent memory to challenge why the railways cannot be privatized ? He is once again successful in delivering his words and he is once again in every headline. Some of the reaction by people on Modi’s Speech:
