Rameshvaram: A visit to the Temple Town

As the story goes Rameshvaram is the place where Lord Ram worshipped Siva before attacking the Lanka. Its a beautiful place on the eastern coast of India. Situated at the tip of Southern India.

It is also famous for its sunrise. Rameshwaram is actually a place situated on Pamban island. It is only 40 Km away from Sri Lanka. And the island is connected by India through bridge called as Pamban bridge.

So jump from the bad in early morning and get a good view of sunrise is must here. Just in front of Ramanathswami Temple. This place is also included in Char Dham of Shankracharya.

The last extension of island is Dhanuskodi, it is said that after this the Ram Setu is underground.

So it’s last point on Indian Mainland.

One unique thing here is that the sea waves are quite at peace here. So the ocean is peaceful and no waves.

You can do boating here and also snorkeling at some places. It’s also a Marine National Park so with full of biodiversity.  Also Abdul kalam Memorial is also established here, since it’s the native place of Missile Man.

This was a short except about my trip to Rameshvaram. Thanks.
